Why a Research-Practice Partnership?

As part of UW–Madison’s School of Education, the MLRC School Network can help you:

  • Learn about and apply research on effective, inclusive and multilingual learning.
  • Collaboratively shape a research agenda reflecting your needs.

By fostering collaboration between educators and researchers, we can explore shared challenges in teaching multilingual learners and co-create solutions grounded in research and classroom practice.

Build Capacity for All Teachers to Serve MLs

If you’re planning professional learning for your school, we can help you build capacity for all teachers to effectively work with MLs:

  • Relevant and accessible research summaries on translanguaging, collaboration and the intersection of multilingualism and neurodiversity – perfect for a PLC article study or a staff meeting jigsaw activity.
  • Research-informed infographics and videos – easily used to anchor activities and spark discussion.
  • Ready-to-Go DIY workshops  – download our PPTs, handouts and facilitator guides to maximize your impact as a teacher-leader.
