Mariana @ SREE Conference 2025
Mariana Castro, MLRC Qualitative Director, will represent the MLRC at the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) Conference in Chicago, IL, on October 8-11. She will present a paper on her study related to the training of science pre-service and novice teachers through the use of mixed-reality simulations to enhance their capacity to support multilingual learners. She will also present on the validity and utility of established and emerging measures of teaching quality, a systematic review in collaboration with Courtney Bell, Director of the Wisconsin Center of Education Research (UW Madison), Verena Jorg, Mareike Kunter and Jenny Oloff (Goether University), and Xin Xie (UW Madison).
SREE is dedicated to advancing research relevant to practice, from early childhood through post-secondary education. The SREE Conference brings together scholars to share new knowledge about education and its application in new contexts and across fields.
