Greetings from the MLRC School Network team! In July, we set out to complete a full refresh of the Member Hub to provide you with updated and improved, research-based tools to support multilingual learners in your school. We are excited to announce that our 2024 refresh is complete and invite you to tour the Hub.

Here’s a highlight of some key features:

  • Each MLRC Research Topic (Collaboration, Translanguaging, and Inclusive EAL) now includes:
    • Research Summary and Annotated Bibliography – The research summaries highlight what we know about each topic, based on research. While there has not been a great deal of research conducted in international schools, in the annotated bibliography we provide summaries of some key research that has been conducted on each topic. MLRC School Network members also have access to the UW-Madison virtual library if you want to look at the original articles.
    • NEW! Teacher Workshops – These research-informed DIY workshops can be used to build capacity at your school. The workshops contain a facilitator guide, PowerPoint slides and any related participant handouts.
    • NEW! Infographics – These 1-page overviews can be used as a discussion-starter for faculty or with parents. They draw on key research and outline key principles and practices.
    • Discussion Boards – We have created discussion boards based on a set of key questions which allow you to share your experiences with other schools and collaboratively learn together.
  • Our revised Action Research section contains helpful information regarding possible pathways to engage and tools to support you in the action research process. Attendees to any of the three Research Symposia will also find related information about the events in this section.

Access to the MLRC Hub is a benefit for every teacher at MLRC member schools! If you have any questions about accessing this valuable resource, contact your Site Coordinator or send us an email (mlrc@wcer.wisc.edu).
