Christine Montecillo Leider Assistant Professor Christina L. Dobbs Associate Professor & Program DirectorDrs. Montecillo Leider and Dobbs present “Conceptualizing Teachers’ Beliefs about Linguistic Diversity: The Relationship between Beliefs about Language Learning and Sociopolitical Beliefs about Language” Research shows that teacher dispositions significantly influence their practices, particularly regarding cultural, linguistic, and ethnic diversity. In language education, these dispositions encompass beliefs about language learning and attitudes toward language diversity.
