📚 Empowering Educators: Action Research as a Tool for Systemic Change
The Multilingual Learning Research Center (MLRC) is pleased to announce that MLRC School Network Researcher, Esther Bettney Heidt, and WIDA Assistant Director of Multilingual Policy and Outreach, Grazzia Maria Mendoza Chirinos, will be presenting at the TESOL 2026 International Convention & English Language Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Their session, “Teachers Leading Change Through Action Research”, will present their ongoing work showing how structured teacher-led research bridges the gap between theory and practice, fostering sustainable, evidence-based improvements in multilingual classrooms.
ðŸ‡ðŸ‡³ Fun Fact: Grazzia and Esther first met as Founding Board Members of the Honduras English Language Teachers Association (HELTA) over 10 years ago! Their paths have continued to cross and they are excited to continue collaborating as academic staff within the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education.
