Invited by Dr. Mario Molina-Naar, a professor at the University of los Andes and a key leader in ICBERG (International and Comparative Bi-/Multilingual Education Research Group), MLRC School Network Researcher Dr. Esther Bettney Heidt will be delivering a guest lecture at Uniandes and visiting international schools across the city on September 23-24, 2026.
Dr. Bettney Heidt will present her research on language ideologies and policies in international schools in Colombia, as well as ongoing work with the MLRC Language Policy Community of Practice. Dr. Bettney Heidt will share key insights on critical language policy analysis to help ground students as they prepare to launch their own Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) projects this term.
