Connect with the MLRC in Spain! Dr. Esther Bettney Heidt, MLRC School Network Researcher, will be an invited guest speaker at the upcoming NEOLAiA International Symposium on Language Policy in Jaen, Spain on June 18th – 20th, 2026. Esther will discuss a new MLRC-wide research focus on exploring language policies across diverse contexts, including international schools and U.S. states.

Esther is grateful for invitation from Dr. María Luisa (Marisa) Pérez Cañado, Full Professor at the University of Jaén and recent MLRC Glocal Scholar at the Research Symposium in Spain in January. Dr. Pérez Cañado is also co-founder of ICBERG, the International and Comparative Bi-/Multilingual Education Research Group.
